C3 Silver Programme
C3 Silver programmes seek to engage with the elderly 65 years old and above with a focus in Potong Pasir. If you are 65 years old and above, we like to know you.
The Befriending programme seeks to alleviate loneliness of the elderly. C3 offers supportive, reliable relationships through volunteer befrienders to people who would otherwise be socially isolated.
Many elderly (above age 65) live alone or are left alone during the day while their children are at work. Even when the elderly live with others in the household they are often left alone as relationships may be estranged or their housemates maybe busy with their own work and lives.
Our Active Aging programme encourages seniors to stay healthy and active, both physically and mentally. Through a wide array of activities we seek to engage the seniors and enrich their life experiences.
We seek ambulant elderly aged 65 years and above who are seeking to be active and engaged in the community. If you have some spare time on your hands do come and join us for our activities.
The children service provides literacy support programmes specifically to address the literacy needs of children who struggle with reading proficiency. (These are not tuition classes.)
Reading is essential to all learning. It is the key to unlock learning opportunities for children.
For some children, learning to read is exciting, but for others, it is intimidating. If students struggle to read, they are likely to fall behind, lose confidence and then lose interest.
Building skills and confidence with reading in the early grades is the foundation for a lifetime of learning success. When students struggle to learn to read, early intervention with a supplemental reading programme can make a big difference.
C3 runs literacy support programmes ranging from:
- building literacy awareness and reading readiness in the Story L.A.B. shared bookreading sessions
- developing reading skills through lessons in the GROW programme
- developing reading comprehension through lessons in the ENCORE programme
